Alessandra Fratini

Alessandra Fratini is admitted in Italy and is member of the Rome and Brussels Bar (e-list). She received her law degree from the Law School of the University of Rome, La Sapienza, obtained an Erasmus Diploma at University College Dublin (Ireland) and holds a Master’s degree in international company law. She is an IBA (International Bar Association) member.

After some years in-house with Italian broadcaster RAI, where she dealt with cases before the Italian Competition Authority and worked with the key institutions of the audio-visual and telecommunications sector, Alessandra moved into private practice in Brussels in 1998.

She is experienced in all aspects of EU and Italian competition law, including competition regulation of network industries and State aid rules. She is currently advising on a number of regulatory issues in the area of postal services, gambling, copyright and related rights, and transport law.

Alessandra is a frequent speaker at international conferences on the application of competition law to the telecoms and postal sectors. She is a regular contributor to telecoms and transport publications and has published articles on EU competition law and network industries regulation. She is member of the Brussels’ Editorial Board of the Italian legal review “Contratto Impresa/Europa”.
