Nicholas Richards-Bentley |
Nicholas Richards-Bentley graduated with a joint common law and civil law degree (LL.B. and B.C.L.) from the Faculty of Law at the University of McGill in Montréal, Canada, in 2010. He is a high distinction graduate of the Cornell University Summer Institute of International and Comparative Law, hosted by the law faculty of the Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. The University of Toronto awarded Nicholas an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in 2005. While at the University of Toronto, he majored in History and International Relations. Nicholas also obtained an academic exchange certificate from the Université Jean Moulin Lyon III in 2002. He is a member of the Ontario Bar as of September 2011. Nicholas joined FratiniVergano in 2011, where he deals with international trade law and trade relations. Nicholas’ main practice areas are WTO law and dispute settlement procedures, trade negotiations (bilateral and multilateral), trade defence and trade and sustainable development. Prior to joining FratiniVergano, Nicholas worked in the political/economic section of the Australian Embassy in Singapore. He gained additional international trade law experience working as a research assistant for Professor Adelle Blackett at the McGill Faculty of Law. Nicholas was Editor-in-Chief of the McGill International Journal of Sustainable Development Law & Policy, a bilingual English/French, peer-reviewed academic journal. He was responsible for bringing to publication several academic articles on international trade policy. |
