Fabrizio De Angelis is a lawyer at the Firm. He holds a degree in law from the University of Rome (Italy) and a Master of Law from the University of Valladolid (Spain).
Between 2008 and 2017, Fabrizio worked at the European Commission in Brussels, holding positions in several departments of the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety. At the Commission, Fabrizio mainly worked on nutrition and food innovation dossiers and contributed to the EU legislative process in the area of food safety. He worked extensively in collaboration with the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and supported the regulatory output of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed. Additionally, Fabrizio’s expertise covers the WTO Agreement on the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS), the intellectual property aspects related to the manufacturing of innovative foodstuffs, the infringement procedures against EU Member States in cases of alleged non-compliance with EU law, as well as EU pre-market authorisation procedures.
Fabrizio is admitted to practice law in Italy since 2006. He is a native Italian speaker and works mainly in English and Spanish.
