Jogi H. Oshiai

Jogi Humberto Oshiai is Director for Public Affairs at FratiniVergano since May 2011.

As an advisor to the firm, he deals with food and agriculture policy, trade negotiations, sanitary and phytosanitary compliance, market access, sustainable development, renewable energy, government liaison, lobbying and business development.

Prior to FratiniVergano, he was Director for Latin American Trade to the EU for almost five years at another Brussels-based law firm. Jogi also worked at the  Mission of Brazil to the EU, where he was Economic and Commercial Adviser for many years, at the Embassy of Brazil  in Tokyo, at the Institute of Reinsurances of Brazil in London and at the European Commission.

Jogi is a Special Adviser for Latin America at FIPRA, the leading international public affairs network. Jogi is also a Director for Public Affairs at 33 Asset Management (a Dutch company specialised in projects regarding private equity investments in renewable energy and carbon emission monetisation) and an Associated Researcher of UNICETEX/FZEA of the University of São Paulo in Brazil.

Jogi holds a post-graduate degree in International Trade from the Solvay Business School, a Master’s degree in Management from the Brussels School of Economics and Management and a Master’s degree in International Politics from the Free University of Brussels.

Jogi speaks fluent Portuguese, English, French, Italian, Spanish and some Japanese.
