Domenico di Fiesole, Florence (Italy). The paper discusses the judgement of the Court of Justice of the EU in <em>RegioPost<\/em> and considers whether it can be suitably relied upon by contracting authorities tendering out postal services, to enforce &ldquo;social considerations&rdquo; in the postal and transport sectors. The international conference is held by the CRRI (Center for Research in Regulated Industries) of the Rutgers Business School, Newark and New Brunswick (US) and the European University Institute.
