The article discusses the close relationship between the new food legislation of Ukraine and the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. It conducts&nbsp;comparative analyses&nbsp;with the corresponding EU legislations regarding, <em>inter alia<\/em>, the definition of food, pre-market approval and\/or registration, food labelling, and specific requirements on GM foods.
