Vergano teaches at the Summer Food Academy in Bilbao, Spain."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 22 July 2015, Paolo lectures at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.albertoalemanno.eu\/academy\">Summer Food Academy<\/a> in Bilbao with a presentation on &lsquo;<em>Taxing and Marketing Restrictions of Unhealthy Foods<\/em>&rsquo;. The presentation will address industrially-produced trans fats (TFAs), which are widely considered as unhealthy, and the recent call to ban them at the&nbsp;EU level when only three EU Member States (<em>i.e.<\/em>, Austria, Denmark and Hungary) have adopted legislation to restrict industrially-produced TFAs in the food&nbsp;chain. His presentation will also address different &lsquo;<em>sin taxes<\/em>&rsquo; for a number of specific food products (and whether taxes are a useful tool to achieve the policy objectives) and labelling rules (such as those for partly-hydrogenated foods = trans fats). This marks the second year that <em>FratiniVergano<\/em> sponsors the Summer Food Academy.
