Alessandra Fratini and Mariacristina Bottino publish an article on mandatory labelling for leather products

Alessandra and Mariacristina publish an article titled “Mandatory labelling system for leather products: time for action” in the Revue européenne de droit de la consommation / European journal of consumer law. Following the public consultation launched by the European Commission on an authenticity leather labeling system at EU level and with a view to contributing to the debate, the paper reviews some misleading labelling practices in the leather sector (namely the misuse of “leather”, as in “eco-leather”) against the existing EU regulatory framework and the results of the public consultation, and makes the case for a mandatory labelling system at EU level.
