Blanca Salas speaks at the 8th International European Food and Feed Law’s Conference in Vienna.
Blanca has been invited to speak at the EFFL Conference on the “Uses and potential abuses of ‘negative claims’ in the EU: the need for better regulation”. Her presentation, followed by an active discussion, is intended to focus on the legitimate uses of “negative claims”, EU Member State’ legislation on “negative claims”, voluntary unregulated “negative claims” (“clean labels”) and instances of potential abuse of “negative claims”. It emphasizes the urgent need for EU-wide regulation addressing the category of “negative claims” and combating the proliferation of these claims, which often distort markets, deceive consumers and result in anti-competitive practices.
