Tobias Dolle studied law at the University of Potsdam, Germany, and the University of Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense. He holds a Bachelor of Law in public law from the University of Paris (2007). He is also a graduate of the University of Potsdam Law School and passed the first German legal state exam. Both times he specialised in European Law and Public International Law.
Tobias went on to work in the International Trade Division of the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, where he worked on a wide range of trade issues in relation to food and agriculture. During this time, he began the work on his Ph.D thesis in the field of international trade law and dispute settlement. In the summer of 2014, he received his Ph.D. magna cum laude with a dissertation titled “Dispute Settlement in Free Trade Agreements”.
Tobias advanced his legal career with traineeships leading up to the second German legal state exam. Among other positions, he continued his focus on trade related issues with positions at the WTO Division of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, a Berlin-based law firm specialising in public law, and finally the legal department of the German Argentinean Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to joining FratiniVergano, Tobias passed the second German legal state exam.
Tobias is admitted to the Hamburg (Germany) bar (Rechtsanwaltskammer).
A native German speaker, Tobias is fluent in English and French, and has a good knowledge of Spanish.
